Just for the Halibut?
Hardly. Ohio Troop 520 also traveled 3,100 miles to fish Alaska's Kenai River for silver salmon, rainbow trout, and Dolly Varden char. Along the way, they reeled in some valuable lessons about working hard, setting goals, and managing money.
Celebrate the Adventure
Scouters from all across the United States submitted more than 400 entries in Scouting magazine's recent Celebrate the Adventure photo contest. Check out all the winners, including Dennis Kuba's Grand Prize-winning image: a flag retirement ceremony in July 2009 at the BSA's Camp Emerald Bay on Catalina Island, Calif.
